About The Programme

What is Green Productivity?

Green Productivity (GP) is a holistic strategy that integrates environmental management with productivity improvement. Introduced by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) in 1994, GP aims for socioeconomic development with sustained improvement in the quality of human life.

It emphasizes that a healthy environment and a robust, competitive economy are mutually dependent. GP fosters "smart growth" by releasing the collective creative ingenuity of the people, moving away from "mandate, regulate, and litigate" toward encouraging responsible action.
