This study mission was specifically designed for SME leaders to experience firsthand Japan's world-renowned lean manufacturing systems enhanced with digital technologies and Industry 4.0 practices.
Japan is the birthplace of lean manufacturing, Toyota Production System (TPS), and Kaizen philosophy. Participants gained direct exposure to how Japanese manufacturers integrate IoT, automation, robotics, and AI into their production lines while maintaining the principles of waste elimination and continuous improvement.
The program combined classroom learning with real factory visits to leading Japanese manufacturers, providing practical insights that SMEs can adapt and implement in their own operations.
